The three individual Swedish designers Helena Svensson, Karin Widmark and Josefin Hellström Olsson presented ‘The Ensemble’ at the Greenhouse during this year’s Stokholm Furniture Fair. The collection was inspired by the sentimentality and percieved value of musical instruments, which becomes especially apparent in the materiality and processing of the pieces. “By incorporating instrumental attributes, these objects echo the disregard for the instruments that in many ways have lost their status and place in our home today”, the designers explain.

“The floor lamp is made out of brass and black coated steel. The lamp picks up on the cymbal stand and adjustability, material and shape of the cymbal”, Helena Svensson explains.

“The high cabinet is made out of birch and black coated steel legs. The cabinets front references the guitars sounding board and round opening.”
